We’re looking for a Full-Time/Permanent Junior Web Developer to join a small, slowly growing team in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire working in the Media, Marketing and Small Business sectors.
We’re a small firm that works for a multitude of international clients and we’re looking to expand in the West Midlands region and step one is we need a fresh-faced Junior Web Developer.
JDU was originally a Canadian company that specialized in Financial, Accounting, Marketing, Advertising and Humanitarian web development. We’ve recently moved and have been in the UK (Cheltenham specifically) for the last year slowly growing our business in the region.
We've built everything from Marketing-Driven web sites, Brochure Sites to Humanitarian Aid Field Tools to Print Design work and branding.
We’re a pretty laid-back office, so if you’re interested in a comfortable environment working with developers in-house and remote, casual dress but with a drive to create the best web sites and applications the internet has ever seen then you’re probably a good fit for JDU.
The candidate we’re looking for is a Junior Web Developer, you don’t need to know everything (we certainly don’t), but you definitely need to have the following characteristics:
To see some of the technologies we deal in, check out the "Proficiencies" section on our home page, if in addition to the above points you have experience in any of the listed items, that's bonus points.
We're a small outfit in the Cotswolds, so we're not typically loaded with cash but we do have some incentives that should hopefully make up for that in the short-term.
As well, part of hiring you (potentially) will allow us to bring on more clients, and if you're interested in taking on more responsibility we can look at increasing wages.
You will be subject to a 3 month probationary period, we need someone who can get work done and works well with everyone in office and remote, if you're not a great fit then we may need to part ways, hence the probationary period.
Every year we like to pick a conference that interests us and head there to hang out with other developers and the software community, as a member of our team you'll get to join in on the fun.
Here are the nitty-gritty details:
